The Fremont post of the state Highway Patrol is currently investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash.
The crash occurred at 7:20 p.m. Saturday on Country Road 41 about five-tenths of a mile west of Country Road 32 in Sandusky County’s Scott Township.
Robert R. Santos, 54, of Tiffin, was driving a 1992 Geo Tracker east on County Road 41 when he drove off the right side of the roadway, troopers said. His vehicle re-entered the roadway, but Santos lost control and the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and overturned in the ditch.
Santos, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Pat and Son’s.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Department, Bradner Fire and EMS and Life-Squad 14.
The crash is currently under investigation, troopers said.

Geo-trackers are NOT made to be rolled(nor is any car for that matter). They are very unsafe(thats apparently why they are not being made anymore)..RIP hope his family can find comfort in this hard time.
NO vehicle is MADE to be rolled into a ditch. My family has had many Geo's and they pass the SAME safety tests as any other car. I think the issue here is control of the vehicle, no seatbelt, and rolling it in a ditch, NOT the make/model of the vehicle
5/10 of a mile = half mile... & it is County Rd 32.
