NHS names students of the month

Norwalk High School has announced its students of the month. Cara Smith was named student of the month.

Norwalk High School has announced its students of the month.

Cara Smith was named student of the month.

Her parents are Paula Smith and Ken Smith, both of Norwalk.

Her activities include: Choir; cross country; FCCLA; foreign language club; homecoming court; key club; musicals; National Honor Society; Junior Project Leadership; academic letters; honor roll; principal's list; work experience.

Her future plans are to attend Miami University to major in mathematics.

James Gerken was also named student of the month.

His parents are Jim and Gretchen Gerken of Norwalk.

His activities include: Art club; Boys' State; Firelands Academic Challenge team; foreign language club; key club; National Honor Society; newpaper staff; Norwalk TV; church activities; academic letters; honor roll; principal's list; work experience.

His future plans are to attend Colgate University to major in history.

Megan Osborn was also named student of the month.

Her parents are Mike and Beth Osborn of Norwalk.

Her activities include: Choir; foreign language club; musicals; National Honor Society; R.O.Y.; soccer; Teens for Christ; volleyball; academic letters; honor roll; principal's list;

Her future plans are to attend Bluffton to major in adolescent/young adult education.

Hillary Pletcher was also named student of the month.

She is the daughter of Dawn Benson of Norwalk.

Her activities include: Aide - 11; cheerleader; foreign language club; Junior Project Leadership; key club; National Honor Society; SHADOW; yearbook staff; academic letters; honor roll; principal's list; work experience; volunteer; Gaymont Nursing Center.

Her future plans are to attend Ohio Northern to major in dance.
