WMS to re-enact historical events

WILLARD - To enhance the eighth-grade curriculum, students at Willard Middle School will hold the fifth annual American Revolution reenactment Friday (rain date Monday). They will be reenacting the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, Valley Forge, as well as the Battles of Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill and Yorktown. The students will also be participating in weaving baskets, sewing samplers, learning military marching drills, cooking, food preservation, knitting, leather working, creating pottery, scraping deer hides, dancing, as well as other activities.

Students have created period appropriate costumes which they will be wearing throughout the day.
