A Norwalk motorist was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and speeding in connection with a U.S. 250 traffic stop.
Derek G. Valentine, 43, of 217 Concord Court, was stopped at 12:20 p.m. Saturday by Trooper Jeremy Clemons, of the state Highway Patrol. Clemons clocked the driver going 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Valentine, who has no prior DUI convictions, submitted a urine sample, but the results are pending.
