Wakeman police arrested a woman on a drug possession charge after receiving a tip about suspected drug activity.

Andrea R. Meinhold, of 67 Pleasant St., Wakeman, was taken to the Huron County Jail without incident Wednesday. She was released that night, having posted 10 percent of a $5,000 cash bond.

"Wakeman police had received a tip from a concerned resident in reference to Meinhold being involved in drug activity," Chief Tim Hunker said.

"A consent to search of the residence led to police finding over 10 syringes, multiple metal spoons, cut straws used for snorting pills, multiple pieces of balloons and marijuana paraphernalia. All of these items are consistent with heroin use," Hunker said. "All of that paraphernalia was in her bedroom."

Meinhold was charged with possession of a controlled substance, which is punishable by six to 12 months in prison.

Sooo, no actual drugs? Just paraphernalia? Glad we're spending time and money fighting the problem. this is an issue of someone's current or ex being pissed about something.
