Welch, pastor and teacher, will lead worship during the 11 a.m. service. Large print and children's bulletins will be available.

Sunday is also Pacific Islander and Asian American Ministries Sunday in the United Church of Christ. The UCC recognizes the many and rich contributions of Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese and Samoan members and congregations to the life of the denomination.

Clarksfield UMC

CLARKSFIELD This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, worships at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon's sermon will be "Knowing the Shepherd's Voice." Those attending can bring a covered dish to share for potluck after the service.

The UMW will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Joyce Storrie.

St. Paul Episcopal

The church congregation is traveling to sister church St. Thomas in Port Clinton for the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday. On May 6, the congregation will go back to summer worship hours of 11:30 a.m.

St. Paul Catholic, Norwalk

This weekend The Rev. Larry, a priest from South Carolina and a representative of Food for the Poor, will preach at all Masses except the 5 p.m., and help to better know the needs of sisters and brothers throughout the world. Fellowship will follow the 7, 9 and 11a.m. Masses this weekend.

The rosary will be recited at 1 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the church.

Wednesday evening prayer will continue at 7.

The St. Paul rummage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday in the maintenance building on Page Street.

Lost and Found

This Christian band will be in concert at Monroeville High School at 7 p.m. today. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Go to church Sunday

MONROEVILLE All members of the Monroeville community are encouraged to attend church Sunday. After local services, there will be a picnic in the park and a CROP walk on the bike trail to fight hunger.

Calvary Baptist, Norwalk

Rex and Andrea Furman, missionaries with Independent Gospel Mission of Rochester, N.Y., will share their ministry during the Sunday school hour at 9 a.m.

At 10:15 a.m. Sunday, the Rev. Joe Grof will report on his recent trip to Romania. There is Bible study at 6 p.m. Sunday.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday, there will be a meal and prayer service with youth meetings to follow at 7.

There will be two ladies' Bible studies which will meet at Monday evenings beginning May 7 and Wednesday mornings beginning June 13.

There are a few openings for the fall bus trip to Lancaster Millennial Theater to see the production of "In the Beginning" on Sept. 29 and 30.

First Presbyterian, Norwalk

The adult education class, "Life Rules" continues this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with Scot Davidson. This class presents biblical guidelines for building healthy relationships. During the 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service, The Rev. Adrian Doll will give the morning sermon, "Courageous Faith." The Edison show choir will present the musical Godspell at 6:30 p.m. at fellowship hall.

The Deacons will host the mother/daughter banquet at 5 p.m. May 6.

Entertainment will be provided by the Edison show choir.

N.L. UMC

NEW LONDON The New London United Methodist Church, 58 E. Main St., is serving a Swiss steak dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Take-outs will be available.

The church will have a Cinco de Mayo feast May 5 in the fellowship hall.

The Chancel Choir and Bell Choir will perform on "Music Sunday" which is during worship May 20. There will be a spaghetti dinner following worship.

The youth will be busy with Y.A.C. June 15 to 17 and the Alive Music Festival from June 20 to 23.
