NORWALK FIRE

Dispatched to 44 Executive Drive to assist North Central EMS with a patient at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, but firefighters' assistance was not required. Returned to station at 11:39.

Performed an odor investigation at 12:12 a.m. today at 16 W. Elm St. Returned to station at 12:30.

Performed a natural gas odor investigation at 12:58 a.m. today at 24 N. West St. The odor was from a slight downdraft in the chimney. Returned to station at 1:20.

NORWALK POLICE

An area resident reported losing his Alltel cell phone Tuesday at a Westwind Drive business.

Transported Joann Boyd, 55, of Akron, from the Summit County Jail to the Huron County Jail on Thursday. She was charged with failure to pay fines and costs and currently is in custody at the local jail.

A Huron County Juvenile Court probation officer requested an officer check on the well-being of a Harris Avenue juvenile Thursday. Police forwarded a report to juvenile court.

An area motorist reported Thursday someone tailgated her on Republic Street and yelled profanities at her at a U.S. 250 red light.

Arrested Jessica L. Townsend, 25, of Sandusky, on a warrant and charged her with failure to appear. The original charge was driving with a suspended license. She was transported from the Erie County Jail to the Huron County Jail, where she remains in custody.

An area resident turned in various ammunition Thursday he discovered at a relative's West Main Street home. Police logged the items as evidence to be used or destroyed.

Arrested Humberto Zendejas Jr., 26, of 3 N. Old State Road, on a warrant today and charged him with theft. He was released later on bond from the Huron County Jail.

Arrested Andrew F. Olaniyan, 33, of 56 Parsons St., on a warrant today and charged him with failure to report to jail. The original charge was driving under the influence. He is serving a three-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

An area motorist reported Thursday two to three television sets were in a ditch on Ridge Road.

An East Street, New Haven, resident reported someone keyed the passenger side of his vehicle in his driveway sometime since Saturday.

An Ohio 103, Willard resident reported someone took the carburetor off his tractor Thursday.

Tharon Reed, 23, 109 First St., Willard, was arrested Thursday on an unspecified warrant. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A Townline 162, Wakeman, resident reported a burglary Thursday.

A U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident accused several suspects of attempting to steal a four-wheeler Thursday.
