MONROEVILLE PD

Clifford E. Cannon II, 50, of 40 Parsons St., was charged with failure to yield the right of way from a private driveway in the April 9 collision with the vehicle driven by Angela J. Cherry, 35, of 1263 Peru Olena Road, near a U.S. 20 business.

The Huron River Joint Fire District assisted police in cleaning a large amount of milk from the corner of U.S. 20 and Ohio 547 that leaked from a tanker truck April 9. Eugene A. Weilnau, 52, of 608 Kennedy Drive, Willard, was charged with driving with an insecure load.

Phillip O. Gibson, 26, of 245 E. Main St., was charged with driving under the influence, refusal of a test and weaving in connection with an Ohio 547 traffic stop Wednesday. He was cited and released to a sober person.

David A. Baco Jr., 20, of Youngstown, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol in connection with a U.S. 20 traffic stop Thursday. He also was charged with a seat belt violation and speeding (40 mph in 20 mph school zone) and released.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 8:21 a.m. Monday at 40 Whittlesey Ave. Returned to station at 8:32.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 10:59 a.m. Monday at 196 W. Main St. Returned to station at 11:14.

Responded to an accident with injuries at 11:25 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Gallup Avenue and Republic Street. Returned to station at 11:35.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 1:04 p.m. Monday at 306 S. Norwalk Road. Returned to station at 1:14.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 3:09 a.m. today at 16 Whittlesey Ave. Returned to station at 3:16.

A State Street resident reported strong winds blew the shingles off a nearby roof Monday and caused tar marks and scratches to his truck.

An East Seminary Street resident reported having several small dents and scratches on his vehicle Monday from a fallen tree.

A North Pleasant Street resident reported the theft of three checks Monday.

Martin Courtlin, 26, whose address wasn't available, was arrested on a Huron Police Department warrant Monday during an open container violation complaint on West Water Street and charged with failure to pay fines. He was released to a Huron officer.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about an unruly juvenile Monday on Edwards Road.

A Townline Road 12, Willard, resident reported the theft of his red 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport truck Monday. The key was in the console.

Kody L. Dewitt, 20, of North Canton, was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence in connection with a Greenwich incident Monday. He is accused of fleeing in a red pickup truck with a baby and heading toward Willard. Dewitt currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A South Main Street, North Fairfield, resident reported the theft of prescription medication Monday.

A Wenz Road, New London, resident accused her landlord of walking in unannounced and uninvited after she just got out of the shower Monday.

Dispatchers were advised of an alarm activation Monday on Bevier Road, Willard.

An area motorist reported a disabled vehicle partially off Ridge Road on Monday.

A Drake Road resident reported a Ford Ranger pickup truck had been abandoned in his front yard for about four hours Monday. A woman told a deputy the truck would be moved by about noon today.

An area motorist reported seeing a couple leave a red vehicle behind the New Haven Post Office and flee on foot Monday.
