NEW LONDON - On March 31, the New London FFA attended the state horse and general livestock judging CDEs. The horse judging team consisted of Katie Morris, placing first on the team with 64th out of 450 individuals. Following Katie was Carl Resor, Malaina Erswell and Sam Taylor. The horse competition consists of judging two halter classes, one performance, and a class of hay, identifying different types of tack and equipment, and taking a 50-question written test.

NEW LONDON — On March 31, the New London FFA attended the state horse and general livestock judging CDEs.

The horse judging team consisted of Katie Morris, placing first on the team with 64th out of 450 individuals. Following Katie was Carl Resor, Malaina Erswell and Sam Taylor. The horse competition consists of judging two halter classes, one performance, and a class of hay, identifying different types of tack and equipment, and taking a 50-question written test.

The general livestock judging team consisted of Chris Cook placing first on the team with a score of 82 out of 681 people. Following Chris was Ryan Carey, Huston Edwards and Logan Farrell. The general livestock team judges both breeding and market classes for sheep, swine, and cattle. They also answer conformation and production questions for each class.
