A jury on Friday convicted Bellevue resident Clifford Beach of all three counts of aggravated murder, murder and gross abuse of a corpse.

The charges were in connection with bludgeoning his wife to death last summer and also attempting to dismember her body.

Aggravated murder means the defendant used prior calculation and design before committing the act.

Jurors had to decide whether Beach intended to kill, Linda.

Sentencing is set for 8:45 a.m. March 22.

Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler said he was fairly confident the jury would return at least a murder conviction. He said he feels justice was served.

Defense attorney Reese Wineman said he’s disappointed. However, he felt he used the only possible strategy he could under the circumstances — attacking the element of purpose.

thank you Jury.. for actually seeing that justice needed to be done here.. is this guy guilty??? uhhh did he tell the person picking him up that he did it? yes.. was there a deceased body in the house that had been there for hours?? yes.. the only thing they didn't have was a video of the brutal and heinous crime taking place...now we will see if justice will prevail at his sentencing.. will they send him to prison as they should do? or will they see an elderly feeble man who won't have much time anyway so let he be under something like house arrest??? well he wasn't so sickly and feeble when he swung that pick and other brutal tools at that poor woman 19 times... please send him to the hell that he deserves..

yea right

wow all he wanted was a quick and cheap way out of a marriage..gee whiz..he got tired of the nagging..and did not want to hand over his hard work to her..thats all
