HIGHWAY PATROL Matthew J. Rennert, 18, of 1405 Ohio 18, was cited for reasonable control Saturday on Townline Road 51 after his vehicle exited the roadway, struck a barrel plate and field and then overturned. Rennert was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center by North Central EMS.

HIGHWAY PATROL

Matthew J. Rennert, 18, of 1405 Ohio 18, was cited for reasonable control Saturday on Townline Road 51 after his vehicle exited the roadway, struck a barrel plate and field and then overturned. Rennert was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center by North Central EMS.

Aaron Thomas Smith, 35, of Huron, was cited for assured clear distance Sunday on Ohio 13 after his vehicle bumped a vehicle driven by Deborah L. Lash, 43, of Sandusky.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to 42 Norwood Ave. at 7 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, firefighters determined a corn burner had been lit. Returned to station at 7:52.

Responded to 76 N. Foster St. at 1:38 p.m. Monday to assist North Central EMS. Returned to station at 1:56.

NORWALK POLICE

Jeffrey Barger, who drove a tractor-trailer out of Olathe, Kan., was cited for truck off route Monday on Milan Avenue near Norwalk Catholic School. Barger told police he was looking for U.S. 250 and tried to turn around near the school's social hall and clipped a street sign.

William Jagel, 39, no address given, was arrested on a local warrant Monday.

An employee of a Westwind Drive business told police their vehicle was entered Monday.

A concerned Norwalk resident turned in old shotgun rounds Monday.

Christopher M. Eads, 35, of 8147 Baseline Road, Plymouth, and Amanda F. Dixon, 26, of Green Springs, were arrested Monday on warrants from multiple police departments. Both must sit 10 days at the Huron County Jail.

An Ohio 61, Norwalk, resident reported an attempted theft from his vehicle Monday.

An employee of an Ohio 18, Norwalk, business reported a possible trespassing Monday.
