CHAMBER CHATTER - Customer service cannot be an afterthought

Last week during a committee meeting we discussed customer service. One of the most outstanding experiences I have ever had was in Las Vegas many years ago in the Neiman Marcus Christmas store. Even though I was obviously a tourist and not dressed for success, the salesperson took my coat so I could shop comfortably. Then a cup of coffee appeared, along with a small basket to carry the ornaments I selected. Every now and then Toni Watson would slide by, take the full basket and leave me with an empty one.
