Norwalk Firefighter Brett Beers has been released from the hospital after being treated for smoke inhalation.

Beers, 41, wasn't listed on the Fisher-Titus Medical Center roster late Thursday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said, "so he must have been discharged."

Lt. Rick Perry was in contact with Beers, who was taken to Fisher-Titus for over-night observation Wednesday. He said Beers was in good spirits that night. "I know that he's getting out here pretty soon," Perry said before the Reflector called the hospital. "He said he had one more test to do (Thursday) and then he was supposed to get out."
