HIGHWAY PATROL

Richard E. Stegman Jr., 50, of 408 W. Main St., Bellevue, was charged with a violation of a driver's duties related to railroad crossings in the Feb. 16 collision with a train on Sandhill Road.

Nancy S. Schneider, 58, of 314 Crestwood Drive, Willard, hit a deer Sunday on Townline Road 12.

Julia L. Meek, 16, of 17 High St., was charged with failure to control Wednesday after she went off the right side of Ohio 18 and hit a ditch. Her parents took her to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries.

Chelsie L. Fox, 18, of Tiro, was charged with failure to control Wednesday after she went off the left side of Ohio 61 and hit a garage. She reported possible injuries, but was not transported.

No citation was issued immediately Thursday after Shaara D. Jones, 34, of 3265 Neal Zick Road, Lot 2, Willard, turned right onto Neal Zick Road from a private driveway, went off the right side and hit a culvert, ending up nose down in a creek.

Julie A. Wise, 34, of 114 Greenwood Heights Road, Bellevue, was charged with failure to control Thursday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Maria I. Medina, 32, of 111 Flat Rock Road, Lot 28, Bellevue, on U.S. 20. Wise failed to negotiate a right hand curve while heading east, went off the left side, into the median and hit Medina's stationary pickup truck.

Jason D. Montgomery, 16, of 491 Fitchville River Road, New London, was charged with failure to control Thursday after he went off the right side of Fitchville River Road and hit a guardrail.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries at 7:18 a.m. Thursday at 1750 New State Road. One person went to Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Returned to station at 7:43.

Dispatchers canceled a call for a fire alarm activation while firefighters were en route at 10:20 a.m. Thursday to 243 Benedict Ave. Returned to station at 10:27.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 11:41 a.m. Thursday at 100 Furniture Parkway. Returned to station at 11:52.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 2:08 p.m. Thursday at 46 Cleveland Road. Returned to station at 2:14.

NORWALK POLICE

Two area parents brought their juvenile son to the station Thursday after they learned he stole some over-the-counter drugs from a Cline Street business.

An Amber Way resident reported vehicle vandalism today.

Michael R. Ezell, 27, whose address was unavailable, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an East League Street incident today. He is accused of kicking the side window of a police cruiser twice, but became compliant after an officer sprayed pepper spray in his face. Ezell was held in the city jail until sober.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

A Hanville Corners Road, Monroeville, resident reported his house and vehicle were egged Monday.

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy handle a two-vehicle accident without injuries Thursday on U.S. 20, Wakeman, just east of Western Reserve High School.

The state Highway Patrol reported a suspicious white van with tinted windows was parked on U.S. 224, New Haven, Thursday.

An area resident reported a suspected intoxicated driver Thursday on Peru Center Road, Monroeville.

A Ridge Road, Willard, resident reported a suspected fraud Thursday.

A Townline Road 12, Greenwich, resident reported being harassed Thursday.

An employee of a West U.S. 224, New Haven, business reported someone drove off without paying for $20 worth of gasoline Thursday. The state Highway Patrol was advised the red Pontiac Grand Am left heading north on Ohio 61.

An Oak Street resident reported undisclosed recovered stolen property Thursday.
