Nicholas and Amber Chaput, of Milan, spent last week visiting family in Maryland.

After the long ride back, it would have been nice for the Chaput family to spend some quiet time relaxing at home. But there was something more important to do -- and it wasn't about them.

The first thing the family did was take part in the "Adopt A Family" program sponsored by the Norwalk Knights of Columbus. This year, 20 different families were adopted by the club.

Great job!!!!! this is really what Christmas is all about!!!! sometimes we get off track thinking that the most important part is to be in line early at some random store waiting to scarf up the good deals on the day after Thanksgiving... that might get your blood pumping... but it is this type of random kindness that gets your heart pumping.... great story, and a great reminder of what the real meaning of Christmas is...
