HIGHWAY PATROL

Benjamin C. Shepherd, 20, of Attica, was charged with failure to control Thursday after he went off the east side of Ohio 4 and hit a tree. A medical helicopter flew him to Medical University of Ohio Medical Center with serious injuries.

Douglas G. Knudsen, 77, of 4484 Ohio 162, New London, hit a deer Friday on Court Road near Clinton Road.

Weldon J. Hawk, 41, of Oberlin, was charged with failure to control Saturday after he went off the right side of Ohio 601 and hit a guardrail, coming to rest in a ditch.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to a burning complaint at 8:21 a.m. Friday at 57 W. Elm St. where there was a small cooking fire. Returned to station at 8:28.

Assisted North Central EMS with getting a patient onto a cot and into the ambulance at 8:47 a.m. Sunday at 196 W. Main St. Returned to station at 8:58.

NORWALK POLICE

The Willard Police Department requested an officer check Chatham Street for Roger P. Colyer, 48, 42 Chatham St., who was wanted on a warrant Sunday. He was arrested, charged with domestic violence and transported to the Huron County Jail to await a bond hearing. Colyer was released after posting bond.

A Baker Street resident reported the theft of his bicycle from in front of his apartment Sunday.

A Milan Avenue resident reported telephone harassment Sunday.

Located a man on Benedict Avenue who fled from the Fisher-Titus Medical Center emergency room Sunday. Police declined to file charges because the subject was being transported to a mental health hospital for treatment.

Samantha M. Self, 30, of Mansfield, was arrested on two warrants Sunday and charged with burglary, a third-degree felony, and theft, a fifth-degree felony. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

An area motorist reported the theft of her purse from her unlocked vehicle at a Milan Avenue fast-food restaurant Sunday.

Michael R. Ezell, 27, whose address was unavailable, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an East League Street incident today. He was held in the city jail until sober.

The Perkins Township Police Department reported having Shawn L. Plummer, 28, of Shiloh, in custody on a local warrant today. He was arrested and charged with failure to appear and failure to show proof of anger management counseling. Plummer currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

The Willard Police Department reported having Thomas M. Campbell, 25, of Sandusky, in custody on two contempt of court warrants today. The original charges were disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Arrested an unspecified suspect wanted on a warrant Friday on Ohio 2, Vermilion.

A Bullhead Road, Willard, reported several people were disturbing the peace while attempting to remove a stuck vehicle Friday.

An Ohio 13, Greenwich resident accused his son of stealing his truck Friday.

A West River Road, Wakeman, resident reported telephone harassment Friday.

Dispatched the Huron River Joint Fire District and a deputy to a Townline Road 131, Willard, house fire Friday.

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy dispatch an injured deer Friday on New State Road, Greenwich.

A Fayette Road, New London, resident reported mailbox vandalism Friday.

An area motorist reported there was a horse in the middle of Nash Road, Wakeman, Friday.

A Neal Zick Road, Willard, resident reported being notified by Willard High School about a 15-year-old girl who left the school with another juvenile Friday. The Willard girl is on probation through Huron County Juvenile Court.

A Baseline Road, Shiloh, resident accused a Shelby woman of following and harassing her Friday.

An Ohio 598, Plymouth, resident reported an undisclosed theft Friday.

An area resident requested a deputy check on the well-being of his daughter Friday on Austin Drive, Willard.

An area motorist reported seeing two people running back and forth across Ridge Road on Friday.

An East U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident reported domestic violence Friday.

A West Collins Road, Collins, resident reported a juvenile ran away Friday.

A U.S. 250, New London, resident reported a suspicious vehicle Friday.

The Shelby Police Department reported having Michelle Pugh, 40, of 23 Newton St., Apt. 6A, in custody on a Huron County Juvenile Court contempt of court warrant Sunday. She is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from an Ohio 162, New London, resident who requested an ambulance for her relative Sunday.

A New London officer reported having Linda F. Ziellinski, 57, of 3336 Prospect St., New London, in custody on a warrant during a First Street, New London, traffic stop Sunday. She was charged with failure to register her dog and released.

An East Ohio 61 resident reported a trespassing incident Sunday.

A Lakeview Drive, Willard, resident reported domestic violence Sunday.

Alaina Isaac, whose age and address was unavailable, was arrested on an undisclosed warrant Sunday on Dogtown Road, Willard. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.
