Jim Ewell Jr. is one of two challengers competing with incumbent Mike Adelman in a race for Huron County commissioner in the Nov. 2 election.

Ewell, an Independent, said he looks forward to the challenges of being a county commissioner.
“I’m ready to work hard. I like to win. I like to win a lot,” the lifelong Huron County resident said. “I’m pro-action. … I’m aggressive.”

While he’s been campaigning, Ewell said he’s been hearing that the wheels of government turn slowly and “that’s the way we’ve always done it.” That’s something he’s gotten tired of hearing.

Oh no, not another one who thinks he will have authority over a FEDERAL agency! The Huron County Airport cannot be sold or relocated at the whim of a local politician. The Federal Aviation Administration has procedures in place which will take ten or more YEARS. Here are just more campaign promises which cannot possibly be fulfilled.

Don't be satisfied with "the way we've always done it." Stop listening to those who say "it can't be done." Every great man with a great idea has been told it can't be done. We need to kick out all these obstructionist bureaucrats.
