Alysha M. Stroup, 27, of 3195 Peru Center Road, Monroeville, was charged with failure to control Friday after she went off the right side of Ohio 99 and hit a utility pole.

No citation was issued Friday immediately after Jeremy L. Holmberg, 27, of 54C Washburn St., New London, failed to negotiate a New London East Road curve and went off the left side. His Jeep Cherokee came back on and overturned, coming to rest in a ditch. Firelands Ambulance transported his passenger, Eric D. Cover, 19, of Galion, to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries. Holmberg declined to be transported for his minor injuries,

MONROEVILLE PD

Kyle J. Flynn, 20, of 49 Townsend St., Norwalk, was charged with driving with a suspended license, improper display of headlights and failure to wear a seat belt in connection with a U.S. traffic stop Wednesday. Police had his truck towed.

The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reported having Timothy J. Tackett, 20, of Tiffin, in custody on a local warrant Thursday. He was charged with failure to pay fines, costs and restitution on the original conviction of criminal damaging. Tackett currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Kevin L. Carpenter, 44, of 410 E. Walton St., Lot 25, Willard, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment and failure to signal in connection with a Williams Street traffic stop Sunday. He was released to a sober person.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with transporting a patient at 7:54 a.m. Monday at 11 Oakfield Drive. Returned to station at 8:12.

Used about 900 gallons of water to extinguish a car fire at 1:56 p.m. Monday at 4957 U.S. 250. Employees attempted to put out the fire with extinguishers when firefighters arrived. The fire started in the engine and spread throughout the rest of the vehicle. Returned to station at 3:30.

Advised the owner of 59 1/2 S. Linwood Ave. that the undisclosed materials being burned were illegal at 2:18 p.m. Monday. Returned to station at 2:30.

NORWALK POLICE

Police are investigating a Garcia Drive incident Sunday in which the driver of an unknown blue vehicle pulled in between two parked vehicles, scraped the entire driver's side of the vehicle of a Garcia Drive woman. The suspect then backed from the space, drove through the lawn, over the sidewalk and headed west on Garcia Drive.

A Ridge Road motorist reported another motorist hit the passenger side of his parked pickup truck on Whittlesey Avenue and left the scene Monday.

An area resident reported being assaulted in front of an East Main Street business Monday. The incident remains under investigation.

Zechariah M. Meacham, 19, whose address was unavailable, was issued a summons Monday, charged with falsification and released.

Myrtle H. Barnett, 39, whose address was unavailable, was charged with child endangerment Monday in connection with leaving a 3-year-old boy alone in a Milan Avenue home with a loaded handgun during an argument.

A Deer Track Trail resident reported an undisclosed theft Monday.

An area resident reported finding an abandoned computer monitor Monday on Benedict Avenue.

Megan L. Derby, 21, whose address was unavailable, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Grand Avenue domestic disturbance Monday. She was held in the city jail until sober.

Jerritt L. Tackett, 30, 4238 Pleasant St., Willard, was served two contempt of court warrants Monday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. The original convictions were disorderly conduct and underage consumption. Tackett is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

An area resident requested a deputy check on the well-being of a Fairfield Angling Road, North Fairfield, resident Monday.

An employee with the Huron County General Health District requested a deputy accompany them to Snyder Road, Willard, for an undisclosed reason Monday.

An area motorist reported a large amount of mud on Greenwich Milan Townline Road, North Fairfield, Monday.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from a U.S. 250, Greenwich, woman who said her roommate had been assaulted and the suspect pointed a firearm at her Monday.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about the grandson of a Smith Street, Willard, resident being threatened Monday.

Responded to a four-wheeler incident Monday on Townline Road 26, Willard.

An area resident reported being threatened at a U.S. 20 business Monday.

A Greenwich Milan Townline Road resident reported four-wheeler drivers were disturbing his sleep Monday.

A Court Road, Collins, resident reported being harassed Monday.
