A 93-year-old woman is in serious condition at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after a one-vehicle crash Sunday night south of the Huron and Erie county line.

A medical helicopter flew Dorothy A. Miller, of 11 Taylor Ave., to the Toledo hospital with serious injuries from the site of an East Ohio 61 accident. Norwalk Fire Capt. Tom Frey, in his report, said 13 firefighters responded and used the Jaws of Life to get the woman from her 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis, which had rolled over about 7:15 p.m.

Miller was wearing her seatbelt while traveling south on Ohio 61 and went off the right side of the road, troopers with the state Highway Patrol said. After hitting a large tree, Miller's car overturned onto its roof and rested against a house in the 1400 block of Ohio 61.

Troopers said the house sustained minor damage and no one was home.
