St. Mary/St. Anthony

Lenten services for this week include Stations of the Cross and communion service at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary and Mass at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary.

A eucharistic minister training session will be held at St. Anthony at 7 p.m. Monday.

Mt. Carmel, Clyde

CLYDE Second Chance, an alternative rock band, will perform at 5 p.m. April 14 at Mt. Carmel U.M.C., 4997 Ohio 183, Clyde. Call (419) 483-6507 for details. A $3 donation gets you Pizza, pop and concert.

Norwalk Church of Christ

Sunday morning features a lesson titled "Avoiding Spiritual Complacency" at 10:30 and there will be a service of song and Scripture reading to highlight the meaning of some songs at 6 p.m. Sunday. This church also has Bible studies for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays evening. More information about this church is available at norwalkchurch.org.

Trinity Lutheran, M'ville

MONROEVILLE This church, located at 121 Broad St., will welcome the Monroeville Youth Club Singers during worship. The group is led by Marcia Adelman and Joyce Schafer.

St. Paul Episcopal, Norwalk

Special Lenten observances continue with a mid-week Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and a soup supper at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by Bible study. Holy communion will be celebrated at Twilight Gardens at 11:15 a.m. Friday. Sunday school and worship are at 8:30 a.m.

St. Paul Catholic, Norwalk

Wednesday evening prayer is at 7 and Friday Stations of the Cross are at 7 p.m. at the church. The St. Paul Youth Ministry Team has changed the time of Thursday morning prayer during Lent to 7 at the Church. Morning prayer lasts about 25 minutes. Children's Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the 11 a.m. Mass Sunday and Spanish Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Clarksfield UMC

CLARKSFIELD This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, worships at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon's sermon will be "God is Trying to Tell You Something."

There will be a baked chicken dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today. This meal will be served family-style with homemade desserts. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10. North Fairfield UMC

NORTH FAIRFIELD The United Methodist men will host breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. The 12-minute video "Rich" will be shown at 10 a.m. with discussion to follow.

Norwalk Alliance

This church continues the Lenten worship series "The Return to Narnia: Re-embracing Our Redemption" with a Sunday theme centered around "Kings and Queens." Jonathan Mushett, Michaela Mushett, Anthony Mummert and Erin Mushett play the roles of the children and will perform in a dramatic sketch. Congregants will enter the worship center through a life-size wardrobe built for the event. Services are at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday. The Great Commission Coffee House is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

A spaghetti youth fundraiser will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sunday and the monthly Harp & Bowl worship and prayer will be at 6 p.m. Sunday. Co-ed aerobics with child care is available at 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays led by Shelia Snyder. Premarital counseling classes are in session for anyone desiring a summer wedding.
