HIGHWAY PATROL

Louis A. Fuselier, 49, of Elmore, was charged with failure to control Monday after he went off the right side of U.S. 250 and stopped in a ditch.

Lisa R. Stepp, 19, of 8 Senior Drive, Lot 18, Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Monday after she went off the left side of Greenwich Milan Townline Road and hit a ditch, where her car overturned. She reported minor injuries, but wasn't transported.

Wayne M. Weiss, 51, of 6080 N. Section Line Road, New London, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he went off the left side of DeRussey Road and hit a fence.

Alfred G. Todd, 39, of 1376 Section Line Road 30, Willard, hit a deer Tuesday on Section Line Road 30.

Benjamin Lenczewski, 25, of 161 N. Railroad St., New London, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he went off the left side of Chenango Road and hit a utility pole.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday at 55 N. West St. Returned to station at 10:29.

Performed a carbon monoxide investigation and secured the furnace at 1:05 a.m. today at 28 Bouscay Ave. Returned to station at 1:18.

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 1:57 a.m. today at 36 Executive Drive. Returned to station at 2:10.

NORWALK POLICE

A Chatham Street resident reported the theft of her Emerson portable compact disc player, an amplifier and two speakers from her vehicle Tuesday.

A Whittlesey Avenue resident reported the theft of a belt sander, cordless circular saw, cordless jig saw and portable generator during a break-in Tuesday.

Employees of an Akron Road business reported a company 1996 Ford F-150 pickup truck and Carry-On trailer were missing Tuesday. A third employee reported the theft of the catalytic converters from the exhaust system of a Ford Econoline van.

Darlene E. Rose, 46, 52 W. League St., was arrested on a contempt of court warrant Tuesday. She is serving a three-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An East League Street resident reported the theft of two compact discs, $15 in change and two keys from two vehicles Tuesday.

An area resident reported an abandoned bicycle Tuesday at St. Paul High School.

An Ontario Street resident reported a broken back passenger side door Tuesday.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

A Peru Olena Road resident reported being assaulted with a knife Tuesday, but denied needing medical attention.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about an Ohio 601 assault Tuesday.

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy respond to Chenango Road, New London, until a state trooper could get there Tuesday.

Paul E. Cole, 46, of 4258 Broad St., Willard, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday and charged with probation violation. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

An employee of an Ohio 103, Willard, business reported finding a license plate Tuesday.

An employee of a West U.S. 20, Bellevue, business reported a trespassing incident Tuesday.

An Exchange Road, New London, resident reported someone cut down several trees while trespassing Tuesday.

A Peru Center Road resident accused someone of shooting a machine gun Tuesday and was concerned for people's safety.

A Ferris Lane resident reported a trespassing incident Tuesday.

An East U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident reported domestic violence Tuesday and contacted Huron County Children Services.

An Ohio 99, Willard, resident reported a possible break-in Tuesday.

WAKEMAN POLICE

March 1

A West Main Street resident reported receiving harassing phone calls and text messages on her cell phone. The incident remains under investigation.

Responded to West Main Street for a verbal dispute between two male suspects. An officer separated the parties who were advised their dispute is over a civil matter. No arrests were made.

A Clark Street resident reported receiving harassing phone calls on her cell phone. An officer contacted the suspect and advised the person to stop calling. No arrests were made.

March 2

Responded to a mutual aid call for a tractor-trailer accident on U.S. 20 at the intersection with Wakeman Townline Road. An officer directed traffic until the state Highway Patrol arrived.

Henrri Diaz, 20, of Willard, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license.

A West Main Street resident reported his vehicle was taken and being held from him without his permission. This case is under investigation.

A Clark Street resident accused her son of taking a cell phone from another resident while he was visiting and she wanted it returned to its owner. The officer returned the phone and no charges were filed.

March 6

Charles Prince, 36, of 5810 U.S. 20, Lot 129, Wakeman, was arrested, charged with possession of marijuana and released.

Celeste McElwain, 37, of 5810 U.S. 20, Lot 123, Wakeman, was arrested, charged with possession of marijuana-related paraphernalia and released.

Maria Daddario, 43, of 5810 U.S. 20, Lot 123, Wakeman, was arrested, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released.

Dennis Muschitz, 46, of Norwalk, was charged with an open container violation in connection with driving a vehicle and released.

Lori Hazzard, 35, of 5810 U.S. 20, Lot 43, Wakeman, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license on the original charge of non-payment of child support. She was cited and released.

March 8

Misty Kidd, 19, of 5810 U.S. 20, Lot 52, Wakeman, was charged with selling cigarettes to a minor in connection with a March 6 incident while working as an employee at a West Main Street business. She was cited and released.

March 11

Responded to West Main Street for a missing juvenile report. Upon contact, the juvenile arrived home and was intoxicated. The juvenile was arrested, charged with being unruly and released later to a parent. Charges are pending in Huron County Juvenile Court.

March 12

Donald Petry, Jr., 39, of 55 Bond St., Milan, was arrested on several undisclosed warrants out of this department and transported to the Huron County Jail, where he remains in custody.

March 14

Responded to a mutual aid call for a large propane tank leaking behind a U.S. 20 residence. Upon arrival, the neighbor attempted to wake up the resident, but was unable to. An officer gained entry and evacuated the resident, who later assisted the officer in shutting off the propane tank.

Received a tip of the location of several possible stolen shot guns and rifles in Wakeman Township. An officer assisted Huron County sheriff's deputies in recovering the weapons.

March 18

A Cherdon Circle resident reported a breaking and entering incident. The incident remains under investigation.
