Two more Edison wrestlers, Ray Adams (113) and Jordan Keegan (138), also advanced to state as the Chargers finished third overall as a team at the district.
Also advancing on to state was Monroeville heavyweight Trey Leroux, who placed third in his weight class.
Barnett was solid at 106 for the Chargers, opening with a pin in 55 seconds over Toran Schroyer (Lake) in 55 seconds.
The Edison freshman then posted an 8-1 decision over Delta’s Zack Mattin, and pinned Oak Harbor’s Tyler Davis in 1:29 to reach the championship match.
Facing Antwerp’s Aidan McAlexander, Barnett scored at will in a 12-6 decision to improve to 55-2 this season.
Stoll began his run at 182 with a pin in 1:23 over Carey’s Trent Pheonix. He then posted a 13-4 major decision over Mason Babcock (Archbold), then reached the finals with a pin in 5:03 over Patrick Henry’s Will Morrow.
In another showdown with Genoa’s Xavier Beach (40-11), it was Stoll improving to 52-3 with a tough 5-3 decision victory.
Adams opened with a pin in 1:57 at 113, then followed with a pin in 3:12 over Lake’s Antonio Lecki to reach the semifinals. He then fell to Eastwood’s Brandon Hahn by a 13-2 major decision to go down to the consolation bracket.
From there, Adams earned his spot at state with a dominant 15-0 technical fall over Delta’s Gabe Meyer, then finished up with another win over Lecki, this time an 8-4 decision, for third place.
At 138, Keegan worked his way to the semifinals with two pins in times of 1:47 and 4:18. Facing eventual champion of the weight, Genoa’s Dustin Morgillo, Keegan put up a fight but didn’t have enough offense in a 5-1 loss.
He responded in two rounds of consolations to place third by scoring a pin in just 25 seconds, then a 15-4 major decision over Seneca East’s Teryn DeBold.
Monroeville’s Leroux began the heavyweight bracket with two pins in times of 2:41 and 5:31 to reach the semifinals, where favorite Tommy Lyle (44-4) of Swanton awaited him.
The sophomore for the Eagles lost a competitive 3-1 decision, then dropped down to the consolation semis where he needed just 51 seconds to pin Willard’s Raven Brant — earning his spot in Columbus.
Leroux closed out the tournament with an 8-2 decision over Elmwood’s Kain Brossia.

For St. Paul, Eric Crabbs and (132) and Sam Meyer (160) each went 1-2.
Willard’s Eli Jaramillo (106) went 1-2, while DJ Slone went and Brant each went 3-3 to place sixth at 160 and 285.
South Central’s Jayden Strickland went 3-3 at 106 to also place sixth.
Plymouth’s Seth Bailey placed fifth at 220, while teammate Tony Vazquez went 2-2 at 182. Bailey fell in the championship and consolation semifinals, but rebounded to win the last match of his career, 9-4, to earn placement.
He’s a state alternate at 48-3, the most wins in a single season at Plymouth.
New London’s Mitchell Phillips went 1-2 at 195.
Also for Monroeville, Tche Leroux went 3-3 to place sixth at 195, while Montgomery Walls went 2-2 at 220.
For Western Reserve, Aidan Fry-Silva went 2-2 at 126, while Zack Schlessman was 1-2 at 220.
