Highs in the 30s this weekend

Following two days of spring-like weather, a cold front entered the region Thursday night, dropping temperatures to normal for this time of the year.

The high today is expected to reach the upper 40s. But weekend highs only will be in the 30s, and weekend lows will dip into the mid 20s.

By Tuesday, highs will be back in the 40s.

There is a chance of snow tonight, but little or no accumulation is expected.

Today, the sun will rise at 7:40:55 a.m. and set at 7:37:28 p.m.

On Saturday, the sun will rise at 7:38:34 a.m. and set at 7:38:34 p.m.

 

Local forecast

Here is the Norwalk-area forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today - A chance of rain, mainly after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 47. Southwest wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tonight - A chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after 11 p.m., then gradually ending. Cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday - A slight chance of snow showers after 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Saturday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Sunday - Partly sunny, with a high near 39.

Sunday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Monday - Partly sunny, with a high near 37.

Monday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 42.

Tuesday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Wednesday - A chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
