'Expect delays' with U.S. 250 road work

• Updated Aug 15, 2018 at 2:41 PM

ODOT has advised that the paving contractor will be working on U.S. 250 in the Milan area for the next several days, including this Saturday, Aug. 18, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in this area. Drivers should expect heavy traffic and frequent, lengthy backups between Ohio 13 and the Huron/Erie County line, especially in the early morning and late afternoon hours.

The sheriff’s office asked that motorists driving through this area exercise patience and caution.

“We don’t want to see any of the contractor’s employees or motorists injured due to a traffic crash,” the release said. “If necessary, please seek an alternate route to avoid any unnecessary delays. Thanks!”
