COLLINS — Western Reserve High School students, led by director Kimberly Harrison, will present the musical performance “Oklahoma!” tonight and Saturday at the school. All are invited to enjoy a “very entertaining and fun” show.

“Oklahoma!” is a classic Academy Award-winning musical filled with timeless songs such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin,” “Kansas City,” “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “The Farmer and the Cowman” and of course, “Oklahoma!”

This particular show will be shining the spotlight on the school’s senior singer/actors, before they move on to bigger and brighter stages.

“I thought this (Oklahoma!) was a good fit for our seniors,” Harrison said. “A lot of their personalities fit perfectly with the characters in the show. It’s a very entertaining and fun show.”

Harrison did say, though, the show is geared more towards an older audience, mentioning it had some innuendos and kissing. She guarantees a fun and humorous evening.

“It’s bittersweet, this being our last (show),” said senior Kyle Fitch. “We wanted to go out with a bang.”

Senior Jeremiah Segula agreed.

“Our class is going to be remembered,” Segula said.

“We really just want to thank everyone for the amazing support our group has had throughout the years and with this show,” senior Annalee Sekulic said. “We honestly couldn’t have done it without our parents, the administration and the community. That’s how we’re able to make a wonderful on-set production and have the house onstage. We really appreciate all they’ve done.”

“Oklahoma!” will have seven seniors, also including Nick Church, Bryce Absher, Hailey Cornelisen and Olivia Ash.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, with doors opening for general admission guests at 7 p.m. VIP guests may arrive at 6:45. Tickets, which cost $7 for general admission and $15 for VIP, can be purchased at the doors.
