Football season opens for real Friday
Aug 26, 2014 at 6:07 PM
I’m back after a short recess.
Actually, the last few days, I’ve been putting the final touches on our annual Football Tab, which will be part of Wednesday’s paper.
It’s quite an undertaking, coordinating photos, stories and layout.
But another one is done.
For the local teams in 2014, here are questions:
Can Norwalk and St. Paul win their respective league titles, go to the playoffs and surpass what happened in 2013?
Can Western Reserve bounce back, win the league and make the playoffs after a year off?
Can Willard make a move forward in the tough Northern Ohio League?
Can Edison make an impact in the Sandusky Bay Conference?
Can veteran leadership lead Plymouth to a league crown and postseason bid?
What impact will first-year coaches Scott Stecher at Monroeville, Brad Pickens at Neww London and Wayne Hinkle at Central have on their respective teams?
It all starts Friday night.
It’s a 10-week regular season, plus more for some teams.
Fall is an excting time for all high school sports.
Best of luck to all area players and teams.
