Bon Jovi Duplex Proves He’s Really No Cowboy

Jon Bon Jovi has long played the part of gritty rocker, belting out anthems about being wanted “Dead or Alive,” but after years of touring with Bon Jovi and racking up rock star riches, the Jersey boy went high rent a long time ago. Now the 51-year-old singer is ready to show off the kinds of digs he digs: Expensive. Bon Jovi has just listed his uber-luxe Manhattan duplex for $42 million.

Bon Jovi bought the one-of-a-kind apartment on Mercer Street in Soho in 2007 for $24 million, then spent millions turning the place into a classy cathedral of glass and modern space, complete with furnishings that make the 7,452-square-foot home a showplace for what wealth can look like. With 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, the duplex is looking to attract that discerning buyer who has a big bank account. Even by New York standards, this is a big price-tag property.

Chelsea Clinton Flatirons Her Home

Forget rumors of divorce. Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky are substantially together enough to take the plunge on a $10.5 million condo.

The daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton and her financier husband signed a contract for a 4-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom apartment in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. The 4,967-square-foot condo is in a building on East 26th Street that was built in 1924 and recently converted into only four sensational units. It is truly a wonderful home.

Now the only question is whether the 33-year-old Chelsea is prepared to give Hillary the grandchildren she’s eager for. Maybe by 2016, when speculation is that Chelsea’s mom will be on the presidential campaign trail?

Busch Revs Into Rental Market

NASCAR star Kurt Busch has had a bunch of lane changes lately. He parted ways with Penske Racing and with his wife, Eva, from whom Busch is now divorced. Now comes the real estate reality of all that change.

First, Busch listed his Virginia Beach condo for $2.8 million, but then wound up listing it for rent for $5,000 a month. The 3-bedroom, 4-bath pad was built 2007 and is 3,371-square-feet of modern finishes – a far cry from any stereotypical expectation about where you’d expect a race car driver to hang his sweaty hat.
