Lila Grose

NORWALK — Lila May (Reinsel) Grose, 87, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 10, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 29, 1931 in Bellevue, where she attended Bellevue High School and was a 1950 graduate of New London High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, Cleveland Indians, Ohio State, watching birds, bowling and reading books. She attended St. Peter Lutheran Church, was a 50-year member of the Althea Chapter of the Ohio Eastern Stars and inducted member of the Norwalk and Ohio USBC Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame in 2009.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Janis) Grose, Lorene (Joe) Church and Russell Grose; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter I. Grose in 1996; daughters, Vicki and Janis; parents, Peter Reinsel and Rachel May Rose; and a sister, Cleo Skeels.

Friends may call on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, and also on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 272 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk with The Rev. Stacy Lauer-Scovanner officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery and a reception at St. Anthony Catholic Church hall in Milan.
