NORWALK — Deacon Jack Bleile, 65, of Norwalk went peacefully to join Our Lord surrounded by family at University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, March 8, 2019.

Born in Norwalk, Ohio, in 1953, Jack was a 1972 graduate of Norwalk High School and went on to earn a degree from Bowling Green State University. He felt a calling to be a Deacon in the Catholic Church and was ordained for the Diocese of Toledo in 1988, serving for 30 years. He lived out his call to service by always fulfilling the needs he saw around him. He, along with friends, founded the St. Vincent De Paul Society within Norwalk St. Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, Catholic Church. He was instrumental in promoting the existing chapter at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Issaquah, WA where he served as deacon from 2007 - 2017.

Jack pursued and married the girl of his dreams, Margie Sturbaum. They were happily married for over 45 years. They wed in the fall of 1973 at Sandusky St. Mary Catholic Church. Immediately following their wedding ceremony, they both took a celebratory ride on the ferris wheel at Cedar Point Park, where they both worked.

Most recently Jack worked as the Finance Manager of Engineering at T-Mobile in Bellevue, WA. He worked as a Business Manager at NASA Plumbrook Station and a Computer Programming Instructor at BGSU Firelands College. He worked as a Plasma Physics Researcher at UCLA and was a Manager of Telecommunications at Cedar Fair in Sandusky, Ohio.

Jack, and his wife Margie, created a home that was welcoming of everyone, and opened their hearts to many. Theirs was the kind of home where friends would come, have dinner and stay as long as they liked. Jack was a patient teacher, imparting his knowledge of electronics and wiring to son, Scott, teaching daughter, Cyn, to debate, and grandson, Jacob, how to mow the lawn.

Jack loved science fiction, especially Star Trek, Star Wars, and comedy such as Monty Python. He enjoyed building things at home. Jack enjoyed debate, politics, and was a cunning card player. He loved his 40th anniversary present from Margie - a Mustang GT, the car he'd always wanted. Jack loved life surrounded by grandchildren - attending baseball games, musicals, doing archery, trips to Cedar Point, playing basketball, and swimming in the pool.

Jack is survived by his wife, Margaret (Margie) Bleile, sister, Cheryl (Bleile) and Steve Simecek of Norwalk, daughter, Cynthia (Cyn) and Jacy Welch of Sandusky, son, Scott and Tabitha (Webb) Bleile of Norwalk, honorary daughter Eva Ulviczki of Budapest, Hungary, grandchildren, Kristian and True Welch, Jacob, Gabriel, Lucas and Stephen Bleile, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob (Jack) and Mary K. (Kakie) (Adelman) Bleile.

While his body could no longer support the incredible love, spirit and joy that was Jack, we know that he lives on with our Lord and in the hearts of all who love him.
