After returning home, he met his life-long companion, Lawanda, and started a family. As his family grew, he coached little league baseball, was a Norwalk Trucker Booster, lead countless bibles studies, and performed pre-game chapel services for the Detroit Lions. A decade’s long sales representative for Norwalk Furniture Corporation, Bob had clients all across the Northern half of Ohio, many of whom became life-long family friends. After retiring, he frequently played golf at Thunderbird Hills and Eagle Creek, traveled with family, and watched his extended family grow. In recent years, Bob & Lawanda left Huron and returned to Norwalk, re-establishing the Mason home base. Norwalk is home for the Robert W. Mason Family.
