Charles worked at the Wellington Foundry and retired from the New London Foundry. After retiring he enjoyed raising a garden, working on old lawn mowers, but most of all spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Charles is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane (Harvey) Hall; his children, Ronald (Karen) Shepherd, Kimberly (Bryan) Deppen, Woodroe (Patricia) Shepherd, Amanda (Chris) Candler; his grandchildren, Robert (Courtney) Shepherd, Shasta (Trevor) Harlow, Samantha (Mike) Hardman, Timothy (Helena) Shepherd, Kristin Shepherd, Melvin Deppen, Chris and Bryce Candler; great grandchildren, Paiton, Morgan, Trinity, Tegan, Travis, Cassandra, Michael, Lillian, Bella and Kaeden; his brothers, Dale and Tommy Hall; his sister, Lucille Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, James, Frank, Alaska, Bessie and Linda Sue.
Friends may call from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019.
