He was born to the late Wiley G. and Geneva L. (Freeman) Richardson on June 7, 1950, in Floyd County, Kentucky. Michael graduated from Milan High School in 1968, and was a lifelong area resident of Milan, Norwalk, and North Fairfield.
He was employed as a laborer at Janesville Products, Norwalk, Ohio for over 20 years. Michael enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening, classic cars and hotrods, camping, going to swap meets, turkey shoots, and was an avid gun collector; but his greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta L. Richardson, by his children, Regina L. Richardson, of Norwalk, Ohio, Michael L. (Angela) Richardson, of New York, and Clayton A. Richardson (Lindsay K. Youngless) of North Fairfield, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Makenzie Richardson, Paige Gardner, Hunter Gardner, and Janae Goble. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan L. (Linnard) Hall, of New London, Ohio, and Allison L. (Brian) Cook, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his brothers in law, William E. (Amy) Bogan, and Bernard R. (Lisa) Bogan, and by his lifelong friends Bobby Ezell and Johnny Proctor, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip J. Richardson, in infancy, his parents Wiley G. and Geneva L. Richardson, by his first wife, Robin Christy, and by his father and mother-in law, George W. and Barbara L. Bogan.
There will be no visitation or funeral service, instead a celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made by going to www.edwalkerfuneralhome.com
