Jean M. Wolfe

NORWALK — Jean M. Wolfe, 80, of Norwalk, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk.

She was born June 27, 1938 in Rocky River, Ohio, daughter of the late Henry and Katurah (nee Reep) Burzloff. In 1946 Jean moved to Clarksfield, Huron County. Jean graduated from Townsend-Wakeman High School in 1956. She and her husband raised feeder pigs on the family farm for many years. She later worked at the Wakeman Laundry Mat / Car Wash for over 20 years.

Jean was a member of the New London United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school in the nursery for over 40 years. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning, raising farm animals and flower arranging.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris Wolfe; infant son, Douglas Wolfe; great-granddaughter, Ava Wolfe; daughter-in-law, Denise Wolfe and sister, Janet Jarrett.

Jean is survived by her children, Morris Jeffrey Wolfe of Collins, Laurie (Bob) Busch of Wakeman, Stephanie (Steve) Fulton of Collins and Joel (Angie) Wolfe of Wakeman; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristy) Wolfe of Lebanon, Erica (fiancé, Grant Sprang) Wolfe of Norwalk, Joshua (Kristy) Busch of Huntington Beach, CA, Mitch (Katie) Busch of Norwalk, Steven Fulton of Collins, Tristin Wolfe of Wakeman, Paige Wolfe and Jon Konz, of Wakeman; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Eastman Funeral Home in New London where a service will be held Saturday at 11 am with Jim Bartow officiating. Burial will follow in Hartland Ridge Cemetery in Collins. If desired, memorial contributions can be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
