He is survived by wife Geraldine Faye (Everman) Anderson, children Algerene Lee (Bud), Jeffrey Davis, Wayne Victor, Paula Faye (Anderson) Dietrich, and Matthew Paul; sister Alma Chaffee, fifteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dolores Blunk, Audrey Dornon, and Jo Anna Hartrum.
He attended Citrus High School in Floral City, FL, and was employed at Norwalk Furniture Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1995. Art was a consummate craftsman-woodworker, true jack-of-all-trades, cunning problem-solver, life-long avid reader, and sometime philosopher-humorist. In short, he could only be best described using hyphens, and will remain an enduring influence on multiple generations of those who knew and loved him.
There will be no public memorial, his immediate family will hold a private gathering at a future date. In lieu of flowers or other considerations, to honor his love of reading his family suggests a donation to your local public library or literacy outreach if you so desire.
