He was born October 3, 1929 in Caldwell, OH and was a 1947 graduate of Caldwell High School. He was also a 1952 graduate of Ohio University, Athens, OH. He served in the US Army Ordinance Corps during the Korean conflict from 1952 until 1954. He worked in construction for 38 years, retiring in 1953 as Treasurer of Mosser Construction, Fremont, OH. He was a member of the VFW Post 2743 and Life member of the American Legion Post 41, and member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie #711. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, football and basketball. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State and the Norwalk Truckers. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling and casinos, shooting pool and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Terry Frost of Tampa, FL, Susan (Mark) Leitz of Willard and Debra (Ty) Montag of Grove City, OH; and his three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth “Maxine” Seffens in 2017; parents, Paul and Gladys Seffens; and a brother, Ralph Seffens.
Friends may call on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
