She was born April 30, 1946 in Marfrance, WV to the late Allen and Icy Mae (Trout) Childers. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk and worked at the Super 8 Motel in Milan. Her grandchildren were her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Randy) Churchill of Norwalk; and son, Burton A. (Serena) Bowles of Norwalk; grandchildren, Nicholas and Ian Churchill and Lydia, Heidi and Jack Bowles; siblings, Lula Bell Harper of Massillon, Wanda Steele of Massillon, Franklin Childers of Lagrange, IN and Delmas Childers of Navarre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Burton O. Bowles in 2015; siblings, Laura Brown, Ollie Wykle, Erma Bowles, Allen Childers Jr., Audrey Crookshanks and Frances Pittsenbarger.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Revs. James Hodsen and Clair Brewer of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
