He was born in Mansfield, OH, graduated school and lived most of his life in Norwalk and the surrounding areas.
Rob loved the outdoors. He was an extremely skilled Disc Golfer. There is a hole named after him at Great Blue Heron Disc Golf Course (which he helped design), located at the Norwalk Reservoir. He was an avid Fisherman, enjoyed bird watching and cared for animals of all kinds.
Recently, he developed a love of Cape Cod, MA & couldn’t wait to go back.
Rob was also quite talented as a Carpenter in all aspects of the trade; a true perfectionist when it came to his work.
Rob was a proud father who loved his kids. He was a devoted friend, who was considered family by many. He was always willing to help anyone in need; usually putting their needs ahead of his own. Rob also gave his time generously as a loving caregiver to his friends’ parents, which cannot be replaced. The world was just a little better with Rob in it.
Rob is survived by his daughter Breeanne, son Hunter and several friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Alan Dutil, Patricia (Swimley) Dutil, and by his beloved dog Duncan.
There will be a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, 11 a.m. Friday, July 6.
