Donna M Stively (Foster)

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Donna M Stively (Foster), 79, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her home .

Born October 2, 1938 to Clarence and Lucille (Rickett) Foster, Donna graduated from New London HS in 1956, marrying that same year.

Donna began her legal career as secretary to Donald Derby, Atty, who became the first Municipal Court Judge in Norwalk. She served as bailiff/court administrator to Judge Derby and to his successor, Judge Ridge, until retiring to Punta Gorda, Florida in 2001. As a resident of Florida, she worked part time in sales, employed by Tiki's Boutique and by HipNotique, eclectic gifts and apparel. She retired in April, 2016. All who worked with Donna, were impressed by her professionalism, thoughtfulness, appearance: her demeanor.

Donna was very active, playing softball and volleyball from the mid 1960 to 70's. In later life, she enjoyed playing tennis. Her determination outshone her small stature. Donna made quite an impression on all whom she met. Her other interests included politics, vacationing and watching the Cavs.

She is survived by her three children, Kim Key of Rutherfordton, NC, sons Phillip Stively of Catawba, James Stively, Jr. of Norwalk, siblings Donald Foster, Patricia Henneman, Dwayne Foster, of Florida, Leonard Foster, RoseMary Bates, Peggy Foster of Ohio, ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Foster and Dale Foster.

A family memorial will be held on June 3rd. Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota Florida.
