Edith Pauliene Robuck

NORWALK — Edith Pauliene Robuck, 85, of Norwalk, passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born August 6, 1932 in West Union, Ohio to the late Ora and Ira Young. She was known as a Rosie Girl for the Cincinnati Reds and later moved to Norwalk in 1969. In her early years she coached girls’ softball and was a 4-H leader for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and its Wesleyan Circle. She was a music booster, PTO member, and was an avid Cavs, Indians and Browns fan. She enjoyed volunteering for years at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, gardening, baking and sewing.

She is survived by her children; Kathy (Kim) Smetzer of Norwalk, Paula (Dave) Byrd of Newark, Anthony (Jean) Robuck of Perkins Township, Martin (Margaret) Robuck of New London and Chris (Lori) Robuck of Norwalk; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Shawn Robuck, Trent (Haley) and Holly Robuck, Stacey (Andy) Carr, Sally Smetzer and Erin Smetzer, and Cody Byrd; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Katie and Drew Carr, Ryder & Lily Robuck; siblings, Blanche Grooms and Donald Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul C. Robuck in 1996; parents and a grandson, Jason Robuck.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Brian C. Oglesbee officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
