NORWALK -- Marion Lucile Fritz, age 93, of Norwalk, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2014.
She was born July 16, 1920 in Norwalk to the late Albert Knittle and Dorothy Derby. She lived in Berlin Heights for many years and graduated from Berlin Heights High School in 1938. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and Chit Chat Club of North Fairfield and Farm Women's Club. She was a teller at Citizens Bank and was a former bookkeeper for AV Lake. She was a homemaker and loved baking her famous Praline Grams and was known for making Dandelion Wine. Lucile had a great interest in her family ancestry, enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and kitty cats.
She is survived by her companion, Tony J. Fritz; son, Terry Baker and former daughter-in-law, Joanne Baker; grandchildren, Tricia Baker, Tracy (Ron) Lang, Angie Bauman, Keith Baker and Pam Baker; great-grandchildren, Chas, Cortney and Kyle Lang, Haleigh Skinner, Tiphanie, Jayson, Alexis, Dawson, Cain, Kennedy, Ayrian, Alyssa, and Dane; special caregiver, Jeremy Perez; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Knittle in 2010; son, Steven; and a daughter, Diana Baker in infancy.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
