Bernice A. Stein, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Thursday morning, December 19, 2013 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born June 7, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Forest and Loretta (Ludwig) Divins and lived in this area most of her life.
Bernice was a graduate of New London High School.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was the former bookkeeper for many years. Bernice was a volunteer and secretary for the St. Paul festival and bingo. She had bowled in a league, and was also a member of the Twins Club.
Bernice enjoyed camping and reading, and had wintered in Palmetto, Florida.
Bernice is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Stein of Norwalk, Ohio, by her children, Richard and Patty Stein of Norwalk, Ohio, Patty and Dan Bergman of Port Clinton, Ohio, Donna Yost of Sandusky, Ohio, Debbie Stein and Denny Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tom Stein of Norwalk, Ohio, Mary and Kim Klinow of Sandusky, Ohio and Bill and Bonnie Stein of Collins, Ohio, by her grandchildren, Chad, Troy, Danny, Chris, David, Brian, Jennifer, Jessica, Jeffery, Brittany, Samantha, Chelsea, Josh, Wesley, and Megan, and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Don Divins of Wakeman, Ohio.
Bernice was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Divins, and by her son in law, Ronald Yost in 2011.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
