Terese A. Hunter (Teri), peacefully passed away in her home, December 16, 2013 surrounded by her children and grandchildren in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Born May 14, 1946 in Georgetown, Guyana, Teri came to Norwalk in 1965 and called it home until 1981 when she moved to Las Vegas. She was passionate about spiritual growth and helping those she loved as well as those in need. A loving friend with a generous spirit, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth and love. Teri was also known for her political activism and dedication to the Republican Party.
Survived by her brother Stanley Hunter, New Rochelle, NY, her children, Michele (Randy) Lemery, Tarpon Springs, Florida, Sean (Kerry) Steffanni, Norwalk, Ohio, Terra (Eric) Mitchell, Jacksonville, Florida and Drew (Valerie) Livengood. Las Vegas, Nevada. 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews, Teri will be missed by all of those who knew her, loved her and celebrated that which was uniquely, Teri.
Teri was preceded in death by her brother, Colin Hunter, father Clement Gaston Hunter and mother Phyllis Shervington Hunter.
A brief memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church (Social Hall) in Norwalk, Saturday December 28, 2013 at 10:30am. A celebration of her life for those who loved her will be held at 4pm, December 28, 2013 at the Steve Kegarise Memorial Pavilion, located one driveway south of 13119 Milliman Road, Norwalk.
