Richard C. "Dick" Flint

Richard C. "Dick" Flint, 86, of Greenwich, died Monday afternoon August 19, 2013 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

He was born March 19, 1927, in Butler County to the late KW and Mamie Flint.

He graduated from White Oak High School in Mowrystown. Dick was a WWII veteran and graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's and master's degree.

Dick started the vocational agriculture department in 1950 at Greenwich and North Fairfield Schools. In 1954 he moved to Leipsic, Ohio and started their vocational agriculture department. Dick moved back to Greenwich in 1959 and was employed by Willard United Bank in the farm agricultural department and retired in 1997.

He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and refinishing furniture. Dick cherished spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn; sons, Charles (Deborah) Flint of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Larry (Debbie) Flint of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and Gary (Cyndi) Flint of Greenwich; daughter, Kay (Sam) Wise of New Philadelphia, Ohio; grandchildren, Steven Flint, Julie (Eric Shimko) Flint, Adam Flint, Hope (Ron) Boudreau, Charity (MJ) Dumminger, Mariagrace Flint and Andrew Wise; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Bob Johnson and sister-in-law, Judy Dawson Stevens.

Preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Bootie Flint; sister, Barbara Johnson; brother-in-law, David Stevens; daughter-in-law, Carol (Oney) Flint and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles "Casey" and Ruth Stevens.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich where a service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to South Central FFA, 3305 Greenwich Angling Road, Greenwich, Ohio 44837 or Northwestern Ohio Chapter of the MS Society, 401 Tomahawk Drive, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
