Vincent F. Garber

Vincent F. Garber, age 70, formerly of Plymouth, Ohio and most recently of Lyons, Kansas, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013.

He was born on December 14, 1942 to Frank R. and Alyce M. (Dymond) Garber in Fremont, Ohio.

He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years. He attended Tiffin University. He was a member of the Plymouth American Legion before moving to Lyons, Kansas in the early 1980s where he became a manager for the Hotel LyKan.

He is survived by: wife Twilla; one daughter, Cheryl (Rod) Clark; three sons, Frank, James (Lynette) and Lee Garber all of Ohio: three step-sons Robert, Alan and Larry Moore all of Kansas; one step-daughter Ruby Jenkins of Kansas; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

An informal social gathering will be held at the American Legion at 112 Trux Street in Plymouth, Ohio on Saturday, August 31st from 2 - 4 PM for friends, family, enemies or anybody who is willing to share memories or tell secrets. There will be music and snacks will be provided.

Services were previously held at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons, Kansas on July 30, 2013. Burial was at Claney Cemetery, Marion, Kansas with Military Honors by McConnell Air Force Base.
