Perrin Michael Ellis

EDMOND, Okla. -- Perrin Michael was born June 20, 1953 in Akron, OH, the son of Malcom and Maude Ellis. He died May 21, 2013 at the Integris Health-Edmond Hospital.

He married Chris Ann Mason on December 20, 1973 from which his son Shawn was born. He married Irma Kircher December 21, 1984, from which his sons Judd and Michael were born.

Perrin married Sophia Norris Blevins on September 1, 2000 in Crescent, Okla. at the First Christian Church. Together, they parented Jason, Joshua and his two daughters, Tristin and Trinity.

He graduated from Norwalk H.S. in 1971.

He joined the Navy in 1971 and was stationed in Pensacola, Fla. Perrin went to work for the postal service and retired in 2003. He was a member of the Edmond Trinity Christian Church and American Postal Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Sophia Gayle; three sons, Shawn Mason Ellis and Michael Hunter Ellis of Pensacola, Fla., and Judd Cooper Ellis of New Orleans, La.; step-children, Jason S. Blevins of Crescent, Okla. and Joshua W. Blevins of Bethany, Okla.; two brothers, Stephen Ellis of Edmond, Okla. and William Cooper II of Crescent; four sisters, Leslie Strong of Granda Hills, Calif., Marjorie Windholtz of North Bend, Ohio, Andrea Ehlers of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Brenenstuhl of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; six nephews and one niece.

Perrin is preceded in death by his parents, his dad, Roy Cooper, and two brothers-in-law, Clint and Craig Norris.

The family has requested that memorials in the honor of Perrin, be given to the Edmond Trinity Christian Church in Edmond, Okla.

Perrin had requested his cremated remains be scattered on his brother Bill's farm, his father-in-law Phillip's pond, and his favorite place, Pensacola Beach.

Memorial services for Perrin Michael Ellis were 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Edmond Trinity Christian Church, 1400 NW 178th St., Edmond, OK 73012. Visitation was 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crawford Family Funeral Service.
