Elouise Hunter

 Elouise Hunter, 83, of New London, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home.

Born on December 31, 1929, in Floyd County, Kentucky and moved to New London in 1948.

She worked at Van Dresser Company in Norwalk for 23 years. Elouise was a longtime member of the New London Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and family gatherings.

Elousie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cordell and Mary Hunter; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ron Hamilton; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hunter; sons, Glendale and Kelvin Keith Hunter; infant daughter and son, Alma Fay and Ottis Hunter; grandson, Jason Hunter; parents, Julius and Maggie Hall; brothers, Ivan, Eligha and Edmond Hall and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London and Thursday at New London Church of Christ, 130 Third St., New London from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Charles Mead officiating. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
