Thomas N. Strong, age 65, passed away July 12 after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 21, 1947 in Fremont, Ohio to Herbert and Julia (Wasson) Strong of Milan, Ohio.
He graduated from Milan High School in 1965, attended Case Western Reserve and graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He also received an MBA from Ohio State University.
He worked at Clevite in Milan, Progressive Design and Machine in Clyde, and Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria. He then transferred to Cummins Engine Plant for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Julia (Wasson) Strong.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah (Hoyt) Strong; their three children, Shelley (Strong) and Jody Soviak and their children, Mitchell, Mason, and Mackenzie of Richwood; Brian and Angie (May) Strong and their children Nicole, William, and Megan of Tipp City; and Adam and Wendy (Collins) Strong and their daughter Jillian of Willard. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela (Strong) and Rodney Wallace and their children Nathan and Peyton of Alto, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at North Fairfield United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 21 at 4 p.m. Please join the family afterwards for refreshments at the church.
