Marjorie E. (Bohn) Meeker, age 90, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at The Willows in Willard.
She was born June 21, 1923 in Norwalk to the late Carl O. and Hazel (Rounds) Bohn. She was a 1941 graduate of New London High School and was a lifelong resident of Hartland Township. During World War II she worked in Detroit at Briggs Motor as Rosie the Riveter. She worked many years at Home Savings in New London as a bookkeeper. She served 15 years as a 4-H leader for the West Hartland Snappy Stichers. She enjoyed crosswords, reading, dancing, sewing and family outings. A past member of the Willing Workers and Ohio Women's Farm Federation. She was recently a Queen candidate for seniors as a representative for the Willows at Willard.
She is survived by her siblings, Alma Bedford of Melbourne, FL, Carl Bohn of Hartland Twp, and Sandy Motolik of Hartland Twp; son-in-law, Todd Nichols of East Bend, NC; five nieces, three nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winton D. Meeker in 2005; and daughter, Melanie Meeker-Nichols in 2006; brothers-in-law, Minor Bedford and Peter Motolik Sr.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Hartland Ridge Cemetery.
