NORWALK -- Stanley David McClain, "Stan," 56, of Racine and formerly of Norwalk, died on Memorial Day, of natural causes.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1956 in Mason, W.Va. to Wilbert J. McClain of Racine and Maxine Coffman of Toledo.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Brian (Karla) McClain; sister, Tammy (Dale) Knittel; one grandchild, Branden; nephew Jeremy Hale; and two loving nieces.
Stan lived most of his life in Norwalk and had many good friends. He was a master electrician, a master mechanic and an aviation pilot.
He had become accomplished at many other things, including gardening, preserving food, cooking, stained glass, drawing, was excellent at auto-body work and a wood craftsman.
He was always making beautiful gifts for us.
He took care of his elderly father.
Stan enjoyed life.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Clara Lovejoy in 1991, three uncles, two aunts and a cousin.
Funeral services have been held in Racine, Ohio and he has been interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Racine.
Stan was much loved and will be missed a great deal.
