Barbara (Jae) Mesenburg Baker was born in Rapid City South Dakota, July 17, 1970 to her parents Ron and Laurie Doering and she passed to Glory on March 9, 2013. Jae was a woman of many talents and will be missed. She graduated from Portage Northern High School, and attended Lake Superior State University in Michigan. During her lifetime she had a love for, playing sports, music, dancing, theater, reading, animals, being outdoors and being with friends. She was an accomplished cook and loved preparing meals for her family. She moved to Battle Ground WA in August of 2012 to be near her parents. Previous to that she spent 23 years in Fremont, Sandusky, Norwalk and Milan Ohio where she was employed most recently by Tenneco Automotive as Executive Assistant in the Engineering Building. Jae had been active in Fremont Community Theater. Besides her parents, Barbara leaves behind her sister Deb Doering Haney (Phil), of Caledonia MI and brother, Rob Doering (Sarah) of Big Rapids MI, a nephew and four nieces. As well as Aunts and Uncles and many cousins, she leaves behind loving friends from MI, to OH, and WA. She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Marjorie Schelb Hawkins, and her beloved dog Franklin. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for her on May 25, 2013 at 11:00AM at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Portage, MI (www.pchum.org).
